Helmsey

Michael Helms, known as Helmsey on the nationally syndicated Rick & Bubba Show has been with the crew for 14 years. He was born and raised in Gadsden, AL, attended Glencoe High and graduated from Jacksonville State University with a Bachelors in Business in 2001. He also played baseball for the Gamecocks. His day job includes on-air radio/TV personality, website/social media management and network admin. He graduated from Highlands College in 2019 with a Pastoral Leadership Degree. He currently serves on the Men of Shades Team at Shades Mountain Baptist Church. Helmsey is married to his wife of 20 years, Amanda. They have 3 children, Brayden (16), Caroline (15) and Madelyn (10).
