Q. Where were you born and raised?
A. Born and raised in Gadsden, Alabama and attended Glencoe H.S. I played baseball at Jacksonville State University and managed to grab a B.S. in Business while I was there.
Q. As a child, how would you describe yourself? A. Hyper and Selfish
Q.What did you want to be when you grew up?
A. Major League Baseball Player or Major League Baseball Player
Q. What activities were you most involved with as a kid?
A. Sports, sports and when I wasn't doing that I would be involved with sports (mainly the big 3 baseball, basketball and football). If it involved any type of ball you could count me in.
Q. What life lessons did you learn growing up that helped shape you into the person you are today?
A. That you can't be successful unless you have a good supporting cast around you. Whether it be in life, business, sports, you name it, you better have some folks around you that care and that are willing to work as hard or harder than you are to accomplish your goals.
Q. What was your first few jobs like?
A. They were not too bad! 1st job I helped a neighbor deliver appliances (refrigerators, washers, dryers, etc) for a big corporation during the Summer. 2nd job I worked at a sporting goods store. 3rd job I worked at a golf course mowing fairways, tee boxes and greens as well as did my fair share of weed eating. All 3 had their ups and downs but I felt pretty fortunate that I wasn't digging ditches.
Q. At what moment did you realize that you wanted to go into radio?
A. I never once thought I would be in the radio business. The stars just lined up and now I go to work everyday with my best friends that just happen to be on the radio. So fortunate just to be a small part of it.
Q. When The Rick and Bubba Show first began, did you ever imagine that it would become what it is today?
A. When the Rick and Bubba Show began I didn't even listen to it. Oddly enough I met Bubba a few years back and we became friends, played a ton of tennis and hunted together. It was in those early moments of our friendship that I realized I should probably be listening to his radio show. Now you won't find a bigger fan of the show than me.
Q. What would you be doing for a living if you didn't work on the show?
A. I am still trying to figure out what I want to be or do when I grow up. Would definitely have to be something I am passionate about, probably teaching and coaching.
Q. What has been your most memorable moments on the show so far?
Q. What are some things in life you can't live without?
A. Christ and Accountability
Q. How do you want to be remembered?
A. A man that loved God, his family, friends and when called upon to do anything whether it be required or in leisure left it all on the field, gave 100% no matter what.
Q. If you could give anyone one piece of advice, what would it be?
A. Show mercy and grace to those that don't deserve it. I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for others in my life that did this very thing for me.
